His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum introduced the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy in November 2015. Dubai plans to provide 75% of its energy needs from clean sources by 2050 under this policy. Dubai is also aiming to become a global hub for clean energy and the green economy, according to the strategy.
