South Energy was appointed as the ESCO company for retrofitting the entire Dubai South city streetlights system.
The retrofit included optimal redesign and replacement of more than 5000 streetlights with smart LED lights.
This resulted in 67% energy savings and high-quality lighting for optimal comfort and safety.

Improved Lighting Quality: The street lighting project has standardized illumination levels and uniformity throughout Dubai South. This guarantees that best possible environment is provided for inhabitants and visitors alike.
Reduced Maintenance cost: LED lights have a much longer lifetime compared to the conventional Lamps. Maintenance cost savings are around AED 250,000 annually.
Waste Management: As much as possible, the replaced fittings were re-used, scraped, or recycled. The number of land-filled lamps was nearly null.
